Endovascular Management of a Penetrating Internal Carotid Injury
A 21-year-old male presented after sustaining a gunshot wound to the face and neck. Vital signs on presentation were: HR=86, BP 153/93, Respirations 20 and SpO2=96%. Physical exam showed him to be alert and oriented; bullet entry to infero-medial orbit, exit posterior to the sternocleidomastoid muscle.
