Balloon-Occluded Retrograde Transvenous Obliteration of Gastric Varices
A 47-year-old female with a long-standing history of alcohol abuse presented to the emergency department on 03/16/08 with hematemesis. An abdominal CT scan was performed, which demonstrated numerous gastric varices and an enlarged gastrorenal shunt. The portal and splenic veins were noted to be patent.
