A 63-year-old male presented with cellulitis of the left foot and calf that did not respond very well to antibiotic treatment. Moreover, an ulcer as well as mycosis of the left forefoot, were noted upon presentation. He has a history of severe lymphedema of both lower limbs for the past 10 years as well as metabolic syndrome (obesity, hyperlipidemia, and arterial hypertension). In addition to these complaints, the patient had mentioned claudication of the left lower limb that had persisted for “several weeks” but he denied rest pain.
