Collateralized Flow Simulating a Carotid-Cavernous Sinus Fistula - comment
What a great case! And of course, it is always pleasant to see immediate fantastic result.
"The uppermost aspect of the stent extends approximately 1 cm into the large venous collateral beyond the internal jugular vein. Hence, the patient is to never receive a right IJ catheter."
Regarding the recommendation of avoiding catheters because of stent - it is not entirely correct. I placed catheter a few months ago when I had no other options. I could not attach full presentation of that case, let me try to attach shorter version. I learned later that one case report of dialysis catheter was published in "Seminars in dialysis" 2008 and my more experienced colleagues did it many times (private communications).
